Pit Or Miss.

Behold a little ink and watercolour number I call Caught In A Mosh. A high proportion of the crowd are based on stereotypes I have observed in my years playing in rock bands - though not in front of crowds of this number it should be noted. Stand by for a more realistic depiction of my stage views where I paint a series of near empty rooms.

Troll is Pleased With Itself.

Here's an ink and watercolour piece I did for Illustration Friday - an online drawing challenge / community with a weekly theme. On this occasion it is "Vanity" and I took the opportunity to make a bold statement surrounding the issue of body image in the troll community. Come out from beneath those bridges you noble creatures - you are all beautiful just the way you are...

Hells Bells and Whistles.

Here's a couple of mono designs I'm in the process of converting to screens. I'll then be hand colouring the prints and making them available for sale on a soon to be revealed revamped shopfront...

Skaters Gonna Skate.

"We'll Get 'Em Next Time" is another piece in what art critics of the future will look back on as my "Roller Derby Period". Ink and watercolour on heavy duty wc paper. Work in progress pics down below..

Dawn Of The Ed.

This weeks Ozcomics theme is Shaun Of The Dead, which sits comfortably in my list of all time top 10 films. That made it somewhat tricky to pick what character or scene to highlight but in the end I went for Ed casually taking a call as the zombie apocalypse slowly envelops the gang. It's this relaxed attitude I try my best to take into the metaphoric zombie apocalypses of my every day life. Work In Progress pics below...

Spike City Rollers.

Here's a little poster and tshirt design I did for Brissie punks Spike City. They feature several members of Blowhard who I played many a show with back in the olden days and it's a pleasure to know they are still out there doing their thang.

Sun Cleanliness is next to Sun Godliness.

It's cool when a band you really dig asks you to do a clip for them. I had fun with this one...

Lewisham Wow!

I remember in the very early days of my old band Nancy Vandal my fellow guitar bro JJ and I were so pumped at the prospect of playing the legendary Lewisham Hotel we turned up ludicrously early in the afternoon and embarked on a massive drinking session. Onlookers allege it was a particularly wobbly performance that night, but all I remember is blowing the roof off the joint [you can decide which point of view to believe]. The point is The Lewisham is relaunching itself as a rock venue and I was asked to do a poster celebrating the occasion. And so the circle of life continues....

Skeleton Yearns For A Better Life.

First completed painting of 2014: "Skeleton Yearns For A Better Life" - acrylic on board. If this thought provoking examination of the human condition is any indication it's gonna be a super meaningful year.
